Russian tennis player Andrey Rublev defeated Alexander Davidovich in the round of 16 of the Toronto Masters 1000. The Spaniard retired due to fatigue (6-7 (3), 7-6 (2), 3-0), and Rublev advanced to the next round of the tournament. After the match, the Russian athlete spoke at a press conference about his coach, Fernando Vicente, and the role he has played throughout his career as an elite tennis player .
"Our relationship goes far beyond that of a coach and player. He's a member of my family and will be for the rest of my life, no matter what. He sacrificed his entire personal life to be with me when I needed him most, when I was alone. He's a great coach, but above all, he's the best person I could have ever met in this world of tennis. We have an incredible connection, we laugh a lot together," Rublev began.
" He doesn't work for money , he has no interests beyond helping me because he loves me . He's done things for me that no other coach would do, he has exceptional human values. He's a different kind of person," the Russian continued.

" There may be tennis players who have won many Grand Slams by changing coaches, but my feeling is that when you're in the top 10 , no one can teach you anything. You're the one who has to make changes. You can't always ask for outside help , because otherwise, you won't grow," the Russian commented.
"He's doing a lot of things off the court, off tennis. Yes, he's different, and that's all. And I know that in the end, he gives me everything so I can be at my best, and it's all about me," Andrey Rublev emphasized about Fernando Vicente.
